The Experience: The picture pretty much tells it all. Coming into this I had very high expectations of a large world filled with various kinds of inflatable structures in which someone could immerse themselves and get lost in. Instead, I found a small place with only 6 or 7 simple inflatable structures. In the corner of the room they hung a corny version of a disco ball which lit up as it rotated to the lovable tunes of Ashley Simpson.
I had expected to find some more local kids my age there enjoying the youthful act of jumping around, especially during open bounce sessions. But instead I was surprised to find there were only kids under the age of five there. At first this made for a dreadfully uncomfortable and awkward situation; as their parents looked on at the bearded twenty year old and his girlfriend interacting in the same area as their children. Eventually, we warmed up the situation as the kids seemed to enjoy having the older kids around. The highlight of the day was finding an inflatable boxing ring with completely over-sized boxing gloves to play around with.
The Upsides: Close to Rowan. Decent Price. Giant boxing gloves. Inflatable Structures.
The Down sides: Not enough things to play around with. I am out of shape and it involves a lot of running around. Horsing around with children and their mothers in the same area.
The Verdict: Like most things this will depend on your personality. Myself, as fun as it was the awkwardness of the entire affair that ruined it for me. My girlfriend who is a elementary education major and someone who works with kids absolutely loved the place. It will mostly come down to how much you can let go and allow yourself to enjoy the more childish side of life.
